CONFERENCE HUMAN EXPERIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
An in-depth analysis day, dedicated to new technologies supporting quality of life and the development of “well-being”. Luigi Mandolini, CEO MAC, illustrated MAC vision and the characteristics of the strengthen collaboration between MAC and University of Macerata. To follow, Dr. J. A. Paradiso, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) of Boston, showed an interesting research on “Responsive Environments”. Specifically, how humans will connect to their environments in the Post-App age. T-shirts, bracelets, shoes, watches are everyday life objects that will become more and more smart and “hidden” in next future. The conference continued with several research groups that illustrated similar interests, with the intent to create new business developments and collaboration’s projects.The conference has been the occasion to illustrate 2 projects that MAC manages, having an active role both in collaboration with other companies, and in realization of them.The first project is NUS-NILM (Non-Uniform Sampling – Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring) regarding the indicators of energy. The second project is SINC (System Improvement for Neonatal Care), an important research in collaboration with Ospedale Salesi of Ancona, that allowed the construction of smart cribs to monitor the vital parameters of preterm patients.
