MAC and Predictive Maintenance

Predictive Maintenance (PdM) is a service which seeks to minimize, and in some cases completely eliminate, the risk of negative impacts caused by internal breakdowns for an industrial machine or during an industrial process, optimizing business continuity. MAC is applying its know-how in IoT and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to PdM. In a predictive context, AI has been proven as a valid support tool in learning how to manage the big-data generation.  AI can also contribute to the correct operation of a process and/or product, simplifying its optimization. This gives us the possibility to evaluate the historical sequence of service interruptions, analyse the weak points with a minor fault tolerance and build advanced architectures. That means storage and real time analysis of data generated by the machine and/or process, through a system of smart elements, and through data acquisition. By observing the storage, and analysing data, it is possible to understand the status of the machine and/or process, and as a result increase the probability of successful decision making. MAC is dedicated to the research and development of Predictive Maintenance, focusing on the electronic board which can collect data generated by smart sensors (both virtual than physical), and locally analyse the significance of this data.
