LEAD THE TRANSITION, DEFINE THE FUTURE
The fifth edition of Recanati Smart Land, held on 25 and 26 June in Recanati, brought together an outstanding network of institutions and regulatory bodies including ARERA, GSE, RSE and ENEA alongside utilities, aggregators (BSPs), technology manufacturers and power plant developers, confirming the event as the space where those who set the rules of the energy system meet those who build, every day, the technologies that make it possible. At the heart of the discussion was energy flexibility: no longer a secondary issue, but the very condition for making the transition sustainable, secure and economically efficient, explored through the major themes of electric mobility and participatory energy. A dialogue that gave substance and concreteness to complex issues, turning strategic vision and technical expertise into common ground on which tomorrow's energy system is taking shape.
KEY TOPICS OF THE EDITION 2026
ENERGY FLEXIBILITY
Services for the future of energy: projects, experiences and opportunities to transform consumption and loads, electric vehicles, heat pumps, storage systems and connected devices into a system-wide resource. Thanks to data, smart grids and infrastructures such as Chain 2 and CIR, it is now possible to coordinate production, consumption and storage in real time, making citizens, businesses and Energy Communities active participants in the flexibility market.
ELECTRIC MOBILITY CIR
Evolution of the legislative framework and the crucial importance of the Charging Infrastructure Controller. CIR is a mature, standardised and demonstrable technical solution, designed to integrate electric vehicle charging with the needs of the grid, the domestic system and energy operators, within a regulatory context in constant evolution — spanning RED III, the AFIR Regulation and new standards for charging-related ancillary services.
REC, SMART APPLIANCES AND DEMAND-RESPONSE SERVICES
A direct dialogue in which cooperation becomes the key to smart, flexible grid management. From Renewable Energy Communities to Smart Appliances, coordinating production, consumption and storage at local scale makes it possible to enable demand-response services and modulate loads without reducing user comfort defining the standards of a truly modern electricity market.
